Lucid Intervals: A Senior Surreal Photo by Camila Sol (2013)
For my piece, I took a photo of a hallway in my home and combined it with a photo of trees outside. The entire composition is made up of HDR photography, which means I combined 3 photos, each of the same scene but taken with different exposures, I added a surrealistic effect to each photo and blended them to expose the trees in the background of the hallway. With this project, I wanted to illustrate an eerie mood, one that I am constantly experiencing in my dreams. It is a very bizarre feeling that completely overwhelms my senses and skews reality. Hopefully, I conveyed this strange vibe through my artwork.
