Introduction
For the final major project of the year, we had to make a documentary about a subject of our choosing. Being a Romanian Citizen, I decided to do it about the Romanian Revolution, and studied the topic vigorously
The Popescu Family
Alina and Catalin Popescu are a couple who both, seperately, experienced and survived the revolution. They were college students at the time, Alina having previously rejected an offer to prepare to join the Communist Party just a month before, and Catalin listening to music and news from illegal radio stations beyond the iron curtain.
Reflection
For this project, we had to portray something interesting, and I decided that interviewing firsthand witnesses of a revolution would be quite interesting, and it gave me a new perspective on the entire event. I chose to make a book about it, and while I feel I did a good job on the book itself I believe I could have done better on the writing.
