“How can you find, explore, and/or expand your passion?”

For the Explorations Project, I explored one of my passions and improved upon a particular skill set that addresses 21st Century Skills. We shared our final product with peers as our Semester 2 Final.

I valued the amount of personal responsibility and self direction we had in this project. We were essentially allowed to do whatever we wanted (as long as it pertained to our elective class, of course) and were expected to have a finished project by the end of May. Considering there were no checkpoints set by our teachers, we essentially had to set up our own schedules and develop a bit of self-responsibility, which is a very important skill to have.

I decided to create a 360 background because I wanted to take my illustrative skills to the next level and create an immersive experience for the audience. I ended up creating two 360 backgrounds, although I wish I had spent more time on the second one instead of obsessing over my first one. If I had more time, I would’ve put more details into the second background and try to deviate more from the original photo.

Infographic

We were required to create an infographics in design, but because There wasn’t much to research on 360 backgrounds, I decided to go broader and base it on the history of VR.
