Let Your Inner Warrior Out

Consumer Product

In our Design class we were asked to create a consumer product. I chose to design a perfume bottle attached to a necklace, as well as my own perfume. I created a mixture of rose and water. Something light, but still felt refreshing once sprayed on. Since spring is in the air I decided to bead my chain with colorful beads and flowers. I used a thin wire and intervened it into the necklace. I had some difficulty with attaching the perfume bottle. I first started out with a perfume made out of oil, grapefruit, and rose. I later on did not like the smell, and decided to change it. Because of the oil in my perfume it made the cap of my bottle fall off. I had to result to using super glue to make sure my bottle no longer fell apart. I then covered the glued spots with flowers. Instead of having my bottle hang from a small chain I thought it would be fun to hid my bottle in my necklace. My mother called it the “I Spy Necklace”. I was at a lost at the beginning as to what I would design, but in the end I am very happy with what I have come up with.  Below is my necklace modeled by Emma Bystrom.
