Suspicion: A Junior Narrative Diptych by Lauren Salinero (2012)

My narrative relates to story of a paranoid person who sees dark motives behind everything. One day this paranoid person is so sure a passerby is plotting something that he confronts him about it, convinced he's defending himself and those around him from some kind of attack. However, his fears were unfounded and the passerby is completely innocent, and now very angry. My photo narrative depicts this suspicion. On the left, there is a security camera; the camera represents the paranoia and hyperawareness of a suspicious person who notices everything and can find a sinister purpose in everything. The turned out pocket on the right symbolizes innocence and unfounded accusations; while the fist shows how acting on wild suspicions can alienate the accuser.
