Dilemma: A Senior Profile Portrait by Carlo Pio di Savoia (2011)

Leonardo Tocci is an elementary school religion teacher who has lived and grown up with Christianity his entire life. He went to Catholic grade school, Catholic high school and Catholic college, all to come full circle and become a teacher at a Catholic school. Since he can remember, he has lived with an unquestionable devotion to God, but after going on a retreat with the teachers from the school and doing soul searching, he's found himself questioning his faith, leaving him extremely stressed, confused and upset having to reconsider his views on religion. In my photo, I chose to use a red background to show his anger, or just general mental anguish at his dilemma. Leonardo is wearing his typical work attire - a white, long-sleeved button up shirt and khaki dress pants. His face is buried inside of a Bible, showing his stress directed to the subject. Similarly, his hands are clenched, almost as if he is suffering from unbearable pain. While he is obviously not feeling physical pain, it's quite evident that he is suffering mentally.
