Unplugged: A Senior Comic Strip by Stephen Song (2013)

Jasper's a pretty serious gamer. He's so serious that he blows off his rent regularly and neglects his personal health and hygiene for the sake of the game. With his guildmate Maple, Jasper crawls through never-ending dungeons to collect loot and experience. Just as the two are able to execute their final special attacks, Jasper's landlord goes to teach him a lesson...

This comic strip was based on the short stories we wrote in English class. For this comic, we captured the climax or the turning point in our stories in a visual form. In design class, we created our characters out of modeling clay and took photos of them from multiple angles to help aid the comic drawing process. In the future, this story will be translated into an animation created in Adobe After Effects. Hopefully, Jasper and his story will receive enough exposure through the many projects they're a part of.
