Choices: A Senior Mise en Scene Illustration by Alexander Walther (2013)

For my mise en scene, I produced a portrait that shows a character's emotional being based off my partner's narrative idea. Our narrative story depicts an average teenager who experiences dramatic ups and downs when he experiments with a mysterious drug. The setting of the scene takes place in an unfinished room that's being remodeled. A pill bottle on a table illuminated by a lamp lies in the center of the portrait while a boy sits in front of the table staring at the bottle. The illuminated bottle in front of the boy shows the unusual relationship and tension that arises when he decides to consume the drug.
