Mise en Scene: A Senior Mise en Scene Illustration by Kendall Simon (2013)

This photo was inspired by my Narrative Film about a young boy dealing with an abusive father. At school, he gets in trouble for beating up other students. His father's behavior starts to affect his attitude and has a negative impact on his life. He learns to channel his anger through boxing instead of hurting others. His boss at the auto shop where he works acts as a father figure to him and gives him support through his family struggles.
