Street Light: A Senior Surreal Photo by David Survilo (2013)

Street Light, Green Light - Often times at night we tend not to notice the things that are knocked over on the side of the road that look like trash. Someone could have left it there, or it could have just merely ended up there without any reasoning. Without knowing the real reason, we often times judge merely based on its image or symbol. Trying to capture the things we see most but choose not to question, I felt that the subject matter of a road sign was appropriate for this concept. I found it at the side of the road and I assumed it was worthless, stripped of its functionality. It was no longer a barrier of directions but now it was just an object.
