Fear: A Junior Self-Portrait Diptych by Sabrina Johnson (2013)

'Fear is like sleep because it makes you temporarily blind'' - My first photo is a mask with light showing through. This photo is meant to represent fear and something a child may see in a nightmare, this picture represents also that there are no eyes inside the mask which shows that fear can make you almost blind.

My second picture is ''the cat in the hat'' with braille underneath. This represents blindness and helplessness.

''fear is like sleep because it makes you temporarily blind'' These pictures go together by showing blindness and fear in two images. The mask shows how you can become ''blind from fear’ while the braille shows not being able to see.
