Scott Sage: Private Eye: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Joseph Pressman (2014)

The design is based off of images that are used to illustrate Gestalt's Law of Closure, which is the idea that our minds see incomplete objects and then fill in the visual gap. For example, the triangles featured on the cover of the book aren't actually there, we just complete the picture. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the shapes, which I then took into InDesign and placed it onto a gradient background. I also included some old paper textures.
