Pluto the Piano Playing Pig: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Ryan Rosh (2014)

My book jacket design is based off the walls and room of Pluto's room. Of course Pluto being the Best Piano Playing Pig in all of Pennsylvania. I wanted an Up inspired house. Something a little unusual yet easy to draw in Illustrator. So I thought what would be the perfect, simple design for the book cover. On the cover there are green, yellow, and red stripes. On the back, under the quotes there is a baby blue. The baby blue adds a lot of contrast against the white so they are really easy to read. The book jacket was created in InDesign, using a template. The template having all of the bleed lines and necessary measurements. I used simple shape tools, shading, shadowing and gradients to create the design.
