The Lonely Cactus: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Cameron Fukuyama (2014)

I decided to turn the idea I developed in English into a Children's Book cover in Design based on the style I already had in mind for my animation in Web and also the somewhat childish subject matter that it revolved around. I tried to make a somewhat triadic color-scheme with dark purple, orange and green. I made everything very simplistic and soft to get across a innocent and childish feeling.

While I was originally going to make the cover in Adobe Illustrator I ended up making the piece in Photoshop due to familiarity with most of its tools. The reviews were very fun to come up with, and also the blurb and bio were created beforehand in English to sarcastically promote our fake careers as authors. However, most of the work on this project was spent trying to find the perfect font to go with each section without using an overwhelming number of them. I'm still not sure if I chose the right ones in the end, but I enjoy how everything came out regardless.
