Squirrelicide: A Senior Narrative Book Jacket by Chiara Neyman (2014)

The title of my book is Suzie The Suicidal Squirrel. I wanted the whole thing to be kind of dark and sarcastic. From the rough sketch of a dead squirrel on the front to the poor reviews featured on the back, to the comical price of $0.99 for the book. The whole thing looks very cheap and sad which is very much in line with the essence of the book. To create this book jacket, I sketched out the pieces on plain paper and photographed them, stitching them together in Photoshop on different layers and adding information with the text tool. Then I imported my designs into InDesign and sewed the pieces together until I rendered what you see before you.
