Anticipation: A Senior Explorations Amplified Piece by Alex Stuwe (2014)

The concept of my Amplified piece was designed to give a sense of traveling through time. The prompt that I followed for designing my piece was Anticipation. I chose to use my watercolor painting as well as my re-worked blink write to incorporate into my piece. My watercolor is a painting of the sunset with a fading color sky and the words ''Show Down'' above it.

For designing my piece, I used Adobe Photoshop to create it. I took a photo of my friend holding my sword in a pose that makes it look like he is swinging. I then put it into Photoshop and edited the colors a bit. After that was done I used the pen tool and cut out my friend and put it onto the scanned photo. I put a effect from a downloaded plug in onto my scanned photo that gives it a vortex kind of look to the photo to make the sense im time traveling more evident. After that, I applied a motion blur to my model to even further strengthen the feel of time travel.
