World in Motion: A Senior Amplified Art Project by Sasha Sobol (2015)

For this project, I combined my zen tangle, word doodle, and mandala with a photo and text related to the creation of aforementioned pieces. The circular motion blur in the abstract photo unifies the concept of constant change I wrote about with the cyclical nature of mandalas. My fidget word doodle, seen on the right side of the composition, alludes to the fact that change is not always conscious in response to a quote that suggests that it is.

The creation of this composition involved skill and knowledge of the principles of design, photography, and Photoshop, all of which, among many others, I learned and/or honed at Freestyle. Aside from demystifying technology for me, Freestyle encouraged me to think critically and challenged me to overcome obstacles, be they technical or emotional issues. After my two years at Freestyle, I have acquired a better grasp of where my strengths and weaknesses lie and I am more comfortable working with others, problem solving, and asking for help when necessary. As I go about figuring out what to do next with my life, I'm going apply skills and experiences gained while at Freestyle.
