Artist Statement:

Floating
This piece is about being emotionally lost, feeling that there is nowhere left to go. This piece is personally relevant because I’m constantly feeling lost. The black background represents a state of mind, one that reflects feeling lost. The blurred body of the subject symbolizes the feeling the feeling of not knowing where to go, and therefore giving up. When people look at this picture, I want them to reflect on their own feelings of being lost and not knowing where to turn.
