My name is AJ and I am a Junior at Los Altos High and Freestyle.
My core values in life are lifelong adventure and grit. I think it is important to make the most of any part of life, whether it’s simple or easy, or seemingly impossible. Being able to push through anything and take the good parts out of it makes life better.
I am currently passionate about sports, such as swimming, biking, and running, appreciating music, playing music, and watching television. I’ve always found swimming to be a useful skill you’ll definitely need in life, and like the concept of moving fast and efficient though the water. During the winter months I am part of a mountain biking team, and I love pushing my power and endurance on the bike. The scenery is almost always amazing. Running is something that I’ve always sorta done, but never really committed to which is something I want to change in the future. Combine those three sports and you get Triathlons, which I have recently gotten into and enjoy. I started learning the bass and trumpet in 8th grade, and when I find a great song sometimes I’ll dissect it and play the bass part. I love a great song and will sometimes spend a bunch of time just appreciating it.
I decided to be a Freestyle student to try something new and to take advantage of a rare opportunity.
