About Me

I am Ace Penn, I am Cambodian-American and a high school student. My most practiced forms of art are digital illustrations and creative writing. I’ve been creating comics and short stories for a little over 6 years. And have recently also taken up music as another art form.

One core value in my life is community; I really appreciate the tight knit community I’ve come to know in my life, and in my school. I personally believe that it enriches my life significantly and I think that it does shape who I am as a person.

Currently, I am very passionate about pursuing my interest in creating stories and comics. I have found that documenting my adventures of storytelling, storyboarding, drafting and writing has been very rewarding

I chose to become a Freestyle student because I was very eager to find like-minded students who really enjoyed art and honing their own unique craft. And now that I am a student in Freestyle it really is apparent the level of dedication and attention to detail that not just the students but also the teachers hold at Freestyle.
