In Digital Media this year, we started the year off by creating more music in Pro Tools and Reason. We were tasked to refresh our Digital Media skills, and make a song in either Pro Tools or Reason. I chose Reason, because of the simple interface and endless possibilities with many instruments and effects.
I went with experimental music, putting different kinds of random music together to make an experimental music piece.

The next project that we made this year in Digital Media is the Multi-Layered Project. There were three options; to make a light box, a mathematically precise wood square, or a ring project. My best friend and partner, Brent, and I, chose to make the ring project because of its uniqueness and challenging aspects.
These are what each of the layers look like.
Doing this project, I valued being able to express my creativity in a new way that I haven’t done before. This ring project presented a lot of challenges and new problems that I hadn’t encountered before. I learned a lot from creating this project.
