Who am I?

I came into freestyle without having any knowledge of knowing how to use any of the applications provided. I am a complete beginner at web production and audio engineering but now, I am slowly learning how to use these incredible tools. I knew the existence of Photoshop, illustrator, flash, garage band and etc. but I never thought that I would learn how to use it. However, as I became more interested in technology like every other teenager, my curiosity for using these application grew. As I became more aware about my future, I started to wonder if using my passion for art and apply it to technology is something I wanted to do. Although I never had any previous experience with using technology to create art, I decided that I wanted to test it out and see if it is something I want to pursue in the future. However, the opportunity to learn web production is limited, so I am so glad that Freestyle was available as it would give me the knowledge that I never had before. It would help me have some experience and knowledge of how these application works.

I have always had a strong passion for art and I knew that it was something I wanted to do in the future. However, I grew up only doing fine art and it is something that I didn’t want to pursue. As much as I love to draw with charcoal, paint with acrylic and photograph with film, I wanted to do something else. Freestyle became my answer to this as it increased my vocabulary for other mediums of art. When I was required to do a project for school and I decided to make a short video for it, I noticed how much fun I had using Sony Vegas pro to edit and arrange my video. The sheer fact of being able to add cool effects easily with technology caught my interest really quickly and at this point I knew that this is something I needed to try. I spent hours playing around with the application and learning new features excited me. So, I decided to enroll myself in freestyle.

This year at freestyle, I am excited to make my website and create animations. I am looking forward to upcoming projects and learning new material.

As an introduction to the question “who am I”, I am hoping this website will explain that. I designed my website with Ferris wheels and balloons with a person handing on to it because I’m a person who loves adrenaline rush and being in high places. But at the same time, I love just peacefully looking at the view from a high place and being able to see the world.
