Composition

Composition

This weeks photo challenge was to reflect composition.

Our challenge for this week was to produce an array of photos that captured the symmetry of our face. This allowed for a better understanding of composition and how it applies to variation in the symmetry of the right side of our face to the left.

Rule of Odds

This weeks challenge was to capture rule of thirds in a photo that consisted of agriculture. To best represent this, I thought this photo I took in Switzerland because throughout this mini trip I took, I was so amazed by the beautiful agriculture. This photo showcased rule of thirds because on the left are buildings, middle is a pathway next to the river and right are perfectly aligned trees, showing the amount of work to make this agriculture efficient and beautiful.

Color Grading

This weeks photo challenge was use color grading to make a photo appear as if it came from a movie. Therefore, I attempted to replicate a movie scene as if it came from a 90s movie. Using contrasting tones, I attempted to make the difference in shading between the buildings and background pop.

Viewpoint

This weeks challenge was viewpoint, or more importantly, to capture a photo from a different perspective. I took this photo while babysitting because I thought it was beautiful to capture an individual looking outside yet from the perspective of behind. Therefore with this perspective, I was able to capture not only the subject yet the scenery they were looking at.

Depth of Field

This weeks challenge was to capture a photo of my subject within a depth of field yet make my subject larger. I thought this was a perfect representation of that because I went to SF and took pictures of my friend in Dolores Park. When went to the one of top parts of the highest hill so we could capture not only him yet the entire depth of the park and the view you can see of the city.
