Culture of my family

My culture includes roosters and music.
Our weekly photo challenge for this week was to take a photo about our culture. I decided to take a photo of the porcelain roosters in my backyard and my father’s Albanian guitar, cifteli. I did this because in my family, roosters are very important to help us get up in the morning and the cifteli is one of various aspects of music that is very important to my family and culture.

Friends and Family

Our weekly photo challenge this week was to capture our friends or family. I chose to capture a photo of some of the aunts on my mothers mother side. Each of them have had such .a beautiful impact on my life and when I am reminded the purpose of family I think of them. They always provided, and some still proivde, some of the best advice that I have used in my life.
Te dua shume Tezes e pas rahmet teze Gjule e pas rahmet teze Nezmeje.

Color Without Color

This weeks challenge take a photo that portrays a colorful story yet edit it in black and white. Therefore, I took a picture of my school halls during passing period to showcase the diversity of my school in terms of gender, race, ages, etc. I thought that this diversity can be representing a colorful story of the community in Mountain View High School and how it can be shown even with black and white edited.

Seasons

This weeks challenge was to find inspiration by seasons, My inspiration was the season of summer! I captured this photo while I was in Montenegro at my grandparents during the summer and I thought it was the perfect representation because of the green scenery and the beautiful blue skies. Screams summer to me!! 🙂

Modern Convenience

This weeks challenge was to capture a photo of a modern connivence and I felt that I am very appreciative of planes. As my love for travel is very strong, planes are a very efficient modern convenience to get from place to place.

Film Noir

This weeks challenge was to take a photo and edit it with Film Noir. Therefore I captured a picture of my little cousin on the train and edited it in black and white to create the film noir effect.

Deadly Sins

This weeks challenge was about the deadly sins that exist that include pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. The sin I chose was envy because in this photo I took of a painting in a museum I believed that the emotion is portrayed.

Storms

This weeks challenge was to capture a storm. I used this photo I took while I was in Hawaii because I thought it was a beautiful picture of a storm passing while a sunset was setting. You can see both the dark grey clouds hovering over while the yellow sunset is attempting to peak through.
