In digital media we were assigned to create various forms of pages that contained our own graphic design elements, photos and information that reflected a theme that fit the topic we were discussing. It were these assignments that our abilities of advertising skills were developed because we constantly focused on a specific theme and creating visual elements that were able to showcase and support that.
One Page Flyer
For my one page flyer, I decided to cover an event of an grand opening for my mother’s olive company. It isn’t real, yet I always remember my mother discussing till this day her desire to open her own olive and olive oil business. I was hoping that with viewing this flyer, my mother would build courage and take initiative to create her business; Mide’s Olives.

Magazine Article
The next assignment we had to complete was creating a magazine article that covered our documentary project. In this magazine article, we were able to incorporate our own photos and graphic design elements we used for the documentary unit. While it was very similar to the process of creating the book in design, it was difficult at times because we had to incorporate different formats and cut own our writing so it could fit in our 6 page limit without looking too clustered.
