During the span of this project, students were pushed and challenged by gathering info regarding their subject. When gathering information on a local level, students were given the task of interviewing people that have a superior knowledge of the subject. When getting this information, the task was to translate it into paper then, for me personally a book. (for design)

Book:

In the beginning of this project, I only had one real goal for this project which was to highlight the change on the urban development of the city of Mountain View. As a kid I had seen the city transform from any other city in the State to a massive tech hub of with over 3 massive tech giants located in the same town. As for this project, I was able to capture many viewpoints of the people from long time residents to politicians. And through the rough process of getting approval of finding my sources, conducting interviews, and editing my Indesign paper, it was fair to say it was worth it in the end. Through this project I was able to capture the reality of the city in the near future.
The name of my book was named (Misplaced) which depicts the current state of the town based off the research conducted.

Within the general theme of urban development come many of subjects. One of which was discovering how as a town we got to this current state. Another being was understanding the current state of the city and seeing where it might take us in the future. Lasting being to predict a vague outcome of what the future may be for the city.

Interviews:
During my documentary I had the opportunity to interview 4 people regarding urban development. Using their knowledge, I put their words into my documentary. Here they are:

Kai Rasmussen- She is the current manager of the Milk Pail. She was a great interview subject and played a big role in my book. During my book, Kai reveals the reality of running a local business in Mountain View.

Bob Waldewin- Bob has been a long time resident of the town. While living in the town, he has seen the town transform into what it is today. He provided some key information about the city which helped with my project.

Margret Abe-Koga- Margret is the currently the Vice Mayor of Mountain View and plans to run for Mayor for the second time. She was a great help to my project as she shared the future plans for the city.

Randy Tsuda- Mr. Tsuda was the former city planning director for the Mountain View City Council. He now is the CEO of Palo Alto Housing. A huge Thanks to him.
