Josh Friedman is a professional guitar instructor and performer in Mountain View California who’s friendly and open personality allows him to adapt to each individual student’s aspirations and teach them in a way most conductive to his/her learning style. This website is dedicated to capturing these specific qualities of Josh through multiple media features that profile unique aspects of him both in and out of his life as a instructor. Using numerous hours spent around Josh and those who know him, this profile attempts to answer ‘Who is Josh Friedman as a teacher and a guitarist’ and focuses in on the values and characteristics that primarily compose his personal style.

Below is a link to a photo gallery showcasing Josh, his band “Bon James Bon”, the studio where he teaches and works and multiple other events taken over the course of the few weeks when I was researching and discovering his story. While unfortunately limited by daylight when taking photos outside of Josh and his band Bon James Bon, I still managed to go through upwards of 500 photos each shoot and had to choose the best of the lot. So here's the best of the best.

A magazine a made on Josh's teaching methods and characteristics that I felt was most important to describing him to an unfamiliar audience. As I tried my best to get across everything I learned about Josh in the allotted number of pages for this project, I realized how difficult it was to attempt cover so much about a person in such little time. There were a lot of details that I felt needed pages to be fleshed out and I ended up having to cut a majority of the magazines content just to be within an acceptable limited. In the end I actually failed that requirement too. The threshold was 5 pages and I got to 5 1/2 before I couldn't cut anymore. So don't tell anyone... Shhhh. Anyways, here's the final magazine I made on guitarist, song-writer and instructor Josh Friedman.
