This is by far the biggest unit in Film during the two years at Freestyle. We started working on our pitches in mid-October and we work no-stop on the film until its due in mid-February. We started the project by brainstorming ideas and making pitches and loglines. A logline is a one-sentence description of a movie that is meant to get a listener’s attention quickly. After we pitched our films, the class split up into partners and we started working on a synopsis for the film. Before we got around to working on a screenplay, we did acting scenes to practice filming and editing dialogue.
