Welcome to my Self-Portrait Website

Hey guys, I'm Manny. At Freestyle we have been assigned a project to create a website to answer the question "Who am I?" My website shows my Self-Portrait projects. Such as my diptych, illustration, podcast, and my Self-Portrait Essay. It also has family, friends, photogallery, and webgems.

To create this website we used a variety of different applications; Adobe Illustrator for button images, Garage Band for music, Photoshop to edit images, Lightroom to create our photogalery, and Dreamweaver the most important of all.

In Dreamweaver we created a template for the entire website. It was kind of like a cookie cutter because all of the websites have similar layouts but you can decorate each one to be a little different. We used CSS (cascading style sheets) to format and design our pages. Such as centering text, creating background colors, and image borders. Then we created rollover buttons to look different when they are hovered over.

Making my own website was a really cool experience. I learned a huge amount of information.  I wanted to make sure that my website really looked good. I did struggle with many things along the way, but with Mr. Florendo's help it became a lot easier. Through this project I have been able to express a lot about myself. I also learned how cool it is to see your own work a browser, because it is so rewarding after the days of work you have put into it.

My Poem

In english we were assigned to write a poem about a story from our life. In WebAudio we took the poem and created a background and a border for it.
