Welcome to my senior profile page! For this project, I decided to create my profile around a woman by the name of Amy Joh. Amy is the Director of Partner Development at a ministry in East Palo Alto by the name of Bayshore Christian ministries (BCM for short). This ministry faces constant challenges amidst the East Palo Alto community, and tasks itself with the responsibilities of taking care of the kids of the city by means like offering tutoring, giving them snacks (food), and giving them spiritual security. So, when challenged with the question “How do you creatively and truthfully portray an interesting person who has a positive influence in the community”, my mind immediately went to Amy. Throughout the content of this page I have included content such as my magazine, my photogallery, and presentation, all related to the work Amy does. Please feel free to look through my website to learn more about the person amy is and the amazing work she is involed in.

Based on my experiences with amy, I had to use my writing creations and insert it into a pleasing package that includes design schemes that are relevant to my profile subject. Furthermore, my magazine needed to be at least 5 pages in length and required us to use our mastery and skills in an Adobe program called Adobe InDesign. My writing in english need to be as unbiased as possible, so to portray our ‘star’ as accurately as possible and including a visual metaphor that made the star a little more tangible to our audience. In our design class, we were asked to create a 5-7 minute presentation of our project in front of an audience, and do so using a Google Presentation format. In our presentation we were asked to talk briefly about our profile star and the work they do, but also talk about the project and how it affected me as a person. To view my presentation click below.
