This is my Flash Fiction Animation, which is the final product of a large portion of my other projects. I got the inspiration for the story after discovering an online community, which was filled with individuals who had trained themselves to hallucinate (aurally, visually or mentally) their sentient imaginary friends. They argue with them, joke with them and value them immensely even more than if they were real. For a few of the members it was not self-induced, it had actually began hallucinating at very young ages, when they were completely unaware that those friends were only "imaginary." That is how I came up with my character, and decided to remove all of the dialogue, to show how oblivious he is to the outside world, so much that it has blurred his sense of reality and imagination.

In order to create the Animation, we first had to begin by writing two short stories, proofreading them both, and then choose the best one to turn into a graphic novel. After we finished our rough draft, we made the actual graphic novel and scanned them onto the computer and added audio and edited them into Animatics. Using our Animatics we created our screenplays, which we used as a guide to creating our Animations. All of the drawings that were in our Animations were created by ourselves.

Looking back at the project, I learned a great deal in how to use Flash CS6 as well as Illustrator CC where we outlined out a lot of our characters/backgrounds before we implemented them into our actual stories. I learned how to deal with different issues and problem solve systematically, for example, issues in animation or glitching frames, usually meant that I accidentally shifted something and I had to systematically discover the error and fix it. Ultimately it was hard work, but it was worth it and very rewarding.
