Narrative 2

The Senior Narrative project is the biggest project we take on senior year. It differs from it’s junior year counterpart since it is supposed to be a longer narrative and it is supposed to have dialogue. For the project I had a partner to go through the whole process with.

After everyone pitched a narrative idea we all chose a partner and an idea to work on. To flush out our idea, and explain it to our producer, we each wrote a synopsis of the film. In the synopsis we explained the characters and the direction we saw the film going in.

Next came the writing of the screenplay, which could be thought of as the most important step since a film won’t be engaging if it doesn’t have a good story behind it. Story. Is. King. My partner and I took our time here. We revised our screenplay multiple times and really dug into the whole pre-production process. This included lining our script, casting, getting locations, and making a shot list.

In addition to the final product, I made a trailer for the film.

After a little over four months of hard work, we came out with the finished product. It was picked to play at our February exhibition that takes place at the Computer history Museum and at a local movie theatre.
