Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Emmy Su, and I have loved creating things since I was little- from covering our living rooms with giant Post-it artwork to a dress made of red envelopes, I have loved experimenting with new ways of art. Outside of the world of art, I am a Captain of the MVHS Lacrosse team and a big advocate of equity for kids, especially in sports equity and STEAM education. I love to try new things and go through life with a smile!
I thrive on honesty and directness, and I love diving into real, meaningful conversations. My grandpa taught me to find the good in every situation, and I carry that optimism into everything I do. I highly value friendships and hardwork. At the heart of it all, my faith keeps me grounded and gives me the center I need to live with purpose and joy.
I love making and creating, from my most recent projects of Asian American recyclable materials like Coke cans, terracotta armor, and food-themed Halloween Costumes. I love to try new things that spark my imagination! I also love trying new foods and exploring new places. I’ve had an extremely fun time playing lacrosse and meeting new people!
I chose to be a Freestyle student because I was excited for a change of pace, a chance to learn more creatively, and meet new people. I am extremely excited to explore my artistic abilities with many of the freestyle projects and look forward to explorations.
