In English we had to create a character based on questions our english teacher Mr. Greco assigned us. Once we had finished creating the character we then moved on to create the story. For the story all we had to do was write a story based on the character we had pervasively made, we had a lot of leeway with the story writing. My inspiration from my story was from my sister I based my character off of her and then when writing the story I wrote what my sister would do in those situations. I used the audio recorder provided by Freestyle went into my room where it is quiet and recorded my story. I enjoyed writing the story even though I don’t really enjoy writing. I thought it was really fun to see/hear the story differently and I thought the was really cool.

Flames

It was a cold, windy morning in the town of Vijek where the land is coated in a thin layer of ice and the livestock have thick fur coats,  there is a tall, slender figure with long silky black hair standing in a vast field of grass. A sudden blast of mixed fluorescent red and orange highlights the sky like an aurora borealis in the night sky. Another blast of fluorescent red and orange lights up the sky, it’s becoming to look like a light show now with blast after blast. A faint voice in the distance fills the silence between each blast, the voice becomes louder and louder.

Not a single word was said walking back to the house. As they approached the house, Valencia saw her mother standing in the doorway tapping her foot. Valencia knew that she’s gonna get a talking to. She tries to delay getting to the house doing whatever she can but grandma isn’t having it. They arrived at the house, Valencia stops before the door and waits, her mother standing in the doorway says nothing. 5 minutes have passed still nothing, after what feels like forever her mother lets out a big sigh then walks inside without a word. Valencia knew exactly what this meant. Valencia puts her head down and walks into the house. The next morning and Valencia has a lot of chores to do because of the incident from yesterday, when she’s out in the field picking weeds she hears a loud noise in the distance she can’t see anything so Valecia just goes back to work and ignores the loud noize.

A few minutes pass and there is another sudden loud noise in the distance mush louder than the one a few minutes ago, she ignores it and continues to work. It’s only until two minutes later when the third loud noise is heard this time the noise sounds really close. Valencia looks up into the distance and she sees a black figure, but it doesn’t look human in fact it doesn’t look like any animal she has ever seen. Valencia runs to the house to get her mother, but she isn’t home. She looks for her grandmother, but she isn’t home either. Valencia goes back to the feild and the creature is coming closer and closer to the village, she starts to freak out. “What am I going to do?” she ponders.

As the creature comes closer, she starts to recognize it. “Wait is that what I think it is . . . oh no it’s a Skoffin but this one is different . . . it has evolved into something way bigger!” says Valencia, suddenly the Skoffin lets out a terrible scream that fills the entire village. “Valencia Storm Get Away From the Monster!!” yells grandma. Valencia turns around to see mother and grandma running to her with some village warriors behind them. She turns back to the skoffin and then back to them: “Mother, Grandma it’s a Skoffin!!” Valencia yells, yet they still continue to run closer and closer to her. But they were not fast enough her mother and grandma all of a sudden stop with worried looks on their faces, Valencia is confused so she slowly looks behind her . . . The Skoffin is right on top of her! She is frozen and still to the bone the Skoffin is just looking at her. Valencia starts to slowly back away but the skoffin thinks otherwise, the Skoffin lets out another terrible scream which drops everyone to their knees.

Except Valencia she stills stands strong, “this is it, i’ve been preparing for this moment all my life” says Valencia, She lifts her right hand toward the Skoffin supporting her right hand with her left, takes a step back and prepares to fire. “3. . .2. . .1!!” A fluorescent blast of red and orange leaves her hand and rockets toward the Skoffin. The blast land right square on the jaw of the Skoffin making the Skoffin fall back a few feet. But suddenly, in the midst of the smoke from the blast, a large black tail swings out of the smoke, hitting Valencia, she is thrown back and is flying through the air when suddenly she stops in mid air, Valencia looks down to see what’s happening.

Her grandmother is holding her right hand up with a blue light leaving her hand surrounding Valencia. Grandma slowly lowers Valencia to the ground. Valencia looks at her in shock and awe. She never knew grandma had powers. Valencia looks back at the Skoffin, the Skoffin is visibly hurt and weaker from the blast, Valencia looks back to grandma. She looks at Valencia with confidence in her eyes, Valencia stands up to face the Skoffin turns back to grandma and then nods,  grandma nods back. And with that Valencia starts walking closer to the Skoffin. Once she is about ten feet from the Skoffin, she prepared another blast. Raising her right arm and supporting it with her left, she is ready for another blast. “3. . .2. . .1!” And with that the final blast leaves the palm of her hand and rockets towards the Skoffin and once again lands square on its jaw, a huge smoke cloud arisses.

The villagers, grandma, mother, and Valencia all waited in silence as the smoke cleared. There was no movement from the smoke cloud and no noise either. The smoke cleared and the Skoffin was lying on the ground! They waited another minute to see of the Skoffin would get up. As the minute passed and the Skoffin didn’t get up – it was motionless!! Valencia finally defeated the Skoffin! She turned back to grandma and mother with a smile on her face.

But without warning, everything turned black, as she fell to the ground. A few days later, Valencia woke up in her bed at home, looking around the room to try to determine where she was she lied there in confusion; once she recognised that it was her room, she sat up with great difficulty as her body aches with every movement. When Grandma enters the room, she dropped everything and ran to Valencia to give her the biggest hug and doesn’t let go. “I’m so glad you’re awake I was so worried about you,” said grandma, Valencia lets out a big sigh of relief and embraces her grandma.
