Intro-Duct-ion
This is the website for my explorations project. In this unit, we were given time at Freestyle to do research and create a project on a topic of our choice that we want to explore.
The process that I explored for Kinesthetic learning was to first thoroughly understand what Kinesthetic learning really was and how people who learn like that affect the population of learners. Being a Kinesthetic learner I love to work with my hands. Sitting listening to a lecture or reading a textbook are two of the worst ways for me to learn. The best way for me to work is with people and with tangible materials. Because of this, it made my project easy to focus on because I was always interested and willing to build.

What was your process in exploring the topic of your choice?
The process of the physical backpack was not easy. To begin my partner and I began ripping off 14 inch pieces of tape and taping them back to back. Using those strips we began to weave a large square of duct tape. Then we proceeded to outline and cut the shape of the front of the back pack. From there we went to connect the previously made front to the bottom, back and sides which were made from solid pieces of duct tape. The final touch was the straps which were two identical strips taped back to back and we did that twice for both straps.
Reflection
The Exploration project gave us unlimited freedom to create and explore whatever we found fit. It was an eye opening experience and allowed me to experiment with what I wanted to do in the long run with the senior Zenith project.
Freestyle has been one hell of a ride for me. The deadlines and fast paced classes have forced me to work my hardest and create the best work in that amount of time. I came in not knowing a whole lot about Adobe apps but learned fast, yet i’m still far from mastery. I love spending time here and all of the teachers are super helpful and knowledgable. I am very happy with my final products this year and cannot wait until next year to continue with the senior projects.
