Zenith!
Introduction
We have finally come to my Zenith project, the culmination of my freestyle skills. To produce a piece of creative content using everything you have learned over the last two years. Looking back to last year I remember the seniors, their projects were so cool. I didn’t know how I would live up to the precedent they set. Even Mr. Greco was looking forward to what I would be doing after the film I made last year.

I love Star Wars, I have since I was a kid. I’ve dressed up as Darth Vader for Halloween when I was in 3rd grade and junior year of highschool. I have a poster of him on my wall and since I joined freestyle I knew I wanted to do something with Star Wars, but I never had the opportunity. This was it, this was my moment.
My Zenith this year I wanted it to be big, so I wrote an entire short film screenplay for Star Wars and Mr. Taylor said
“No”
Mr. Taylor
So i went back to the drawing board to redefine what I wanted to do. I know I wanted to do something with Star Wars, so after a lot of thinking and deliberating, I had the idea for my Zenith, three short Star Wars films, practicing special effects. The main skill I’ve learned at Freestyle is to question and learn, so I put my skills to the test and tried to teach myself special effects on after effects.

Before Frames

Each of these shots I used different effects, the top was using CGI, the middle was green screening and masking and the third was using masking and double exposure. Throughout the whole process I used so many special effects.
