RESEARCH PAPER

The essential question of this research paper is, "How people escape through the means of music and art," and "What The Zone is to them." My partner Conor Tiffin and I interviewed three people, Ben Mandeberg, a musician, Eric Taggart, an artist, and Aldo Noboa, a music teacher, with hopes to find the answers to our questions. This topic is of special interest to Conor and Myself since we are both musicians, and since we both have our own perspectives of art and the zone, we were curious as to how other people felt about it.

AUDIO DOCUMENTARY

Unlike the written research paper, the audio documentary is a chance for Ben, Eric, and Aldo to tell it through their own voice. By hearing our subjects, it seems to make what they say much more real, its more authentic, you can really get a sense of who these people are. They way Conor and I layed out the documentary was interviewee by interviewee, giving each person a chance to express their views, until we bring it back and state our findings.

PHOTO DOCUMENTARY

With photos, you literally see what was talked about in the research paper. You get to experience what we experienced, it puts a face to the words. Conor and I got the chance to have creative freedom within the pages of the design book. We chose a very orderly and clean layout so the photos would be the main subjects, not how we went about showing them. Each photo is just as important as the next, showing our subjects as they are and who they are.

I'd like to thank Conor Tiffin for being my friend and partner throughout this unit.

I would also like to thank Ben Mandeberg, Eric Taggart, Jamie Taggart, and Aldo Noboa for the wisdom and guidance that helped us find some answers to the unanswerable.
