Intro: For my ultimate and one of the last freestyle projects, AKA Zenith, I decided to make a narrative animation. I had never animated before, but I’ve always loved the medium as an audience, and this zenith project seemed like the perfect opportunity. This wasn’t my original idea first, as I was going to make an animation less story intensive, and was originally supposed to be original music, with animation supporting it.
This caused the problem that I had too many possibilities on what my theme, music, and visuals would look like. After changing, just following the storyboards I made significantly fastened the progress I made.

Making the story: The main plot of my story followed a nervous lovebird matchmaker, with her coworker’s support and successful matchmaking. She gains confidence, until she matches one particular couple.
Making the story was one of my favorite parts, I felt like the premise came spontaneously, and I got inspiration from Pixar shorts and my ideas I didn’t use for my narrative short film.

Here’s a collection of progress shots.

This is a video of the final product. I used Adobe animation to create this.
