About Us
Our Music
Our music group is 'Retrogression'. Our goal was to find humor in a plethora of varieties based off a tale told time and time again. This website shows off our work and final products ranging from the music video to a photo gallery to digital artwork I crafted specifically for the band! The members of Retrogression: Paul Pierantozzi (film), Yujie "Jeff" Wang (film), Emily Porat (web), Stella Ge (web), and Hunter Coffman (web) collabrated to create this hit single. We used a multitude of applications such as Premiere Pro, ProTools, Reason, Adobe Dream Weaver, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Now let's begin, we've got a long tale ahead of us.
Originally the band was stuck between two styles of music video: comedic and artsy. While we debated it for hours on end, we came up with this beautiful idea: a love story. We made sure to have as much fun as possible with the music video and it'll be sure to get some laughs out of you. Using the most cliche love moments of every relationship, we found the perfect balance. But who knows, can true love really last forever?

In the Headlights

VERSE 1

Girl: You picked up my books, And I saw your good looks

Boy: A smile beyond compare, I can't help but stare

Girl: Eyes as deep as the ocean

Boy: Must've drank a love potion

CHORUS

Girl: I found you by chance

Boy: A perfect romance

Both: It was meant to be, You and me

Boy: You're the one for me

Girl: It's easy to see

Both: If one day you're gone, How will I go on?

VERSE 2

It'll be okay

You still make my day

The pain will go away

Don't worry I'll stay

Such a beautiful face,

Now it's a disgrace

VERSE 2 (CONT.)

We saw eye to eye

He was the perfect guy

All I can do is bawl,

Since you ruined it all

Now when you call,

You seem so worthless and small

This music video follows the life of two teenage lovebirds.

These two have started a relationship, but to them, they've found their soul mates. They expand upon their cliche relationship with funny, satirical activities as they fall further and further down the rabbit hole. But little do they know what they'll find at the bottom. What awaits is beyond anything they could've ever known.

Stepping back into the production process, we thought that having some fun with this story would allow everyone a laugh, as everyone's gone through this in one way or another.

We had to get some close ups with the actors. Stefano was loving it.

Stefano enjoyed lying in the bed.
And then he suffocated.
Even sick people need pizza every now and again.

Artwork and Credits

While we had to create music and a video to accompany, we, as art students, weren't done there! In the top row are our groups band posters, with the bottom row being a tshirt design we had to make to represent our band. In using our usual softwares (Photoshop/Illustrator), we learned a hand full of new techniques to vary our designs as well as create that spark of life that makes a band what it is visually.

This project took countless hours to plan out and then make the music, record, film, develop the website, and make the artwork. This project could not have been completed without the help from...

Hunter Coffman
Hunter Coffman is a passionate individual specifically towards the fields of writing, web design, and game design. As well, he's an entusiast of the smaller things in life! He couldn't be more thankful for the hardwork his group has put in into making this all possible.
Stella Ge
Stella Ge is passionate about graphic art, web design, and the fine arts! She loved working with the rest of her band members in Retrogression and collaborating with other talented musicians and actors.
Paul Pierantozzi
Paul Pierantozzi has spent the past several years refining two things: his film-making... and his internet references. Being able to create phenomenal products has led Paul to become an After-Effects expert to couple with his Premiere Pro mastery.
Emily Porat
Emily Porat is a first year senior at Freestyle whose interests range from journalism to fashion to her four cats.
Yujie "Jeff" Wang
Jeff Wang is a peculiar individual. Trained by the coolest of cool, he's become the very definition of "swag". His passion for film making, combined with this "swag", makes him a one-of-a kind film producer.
