For the Senior Profile Project, I had to pick someone to profile that had a positive impact or influence on the community. I then had to gather three interviewees one the star, which is the person I’m profiling, and two other interviewees. after I was done gathering information I had to write a profile paper are on my person. This analytical paper was created in my English class. From there, I then had to make a magazine in design using the paper I wrote in English and the photos I had taken while interviewing my star person. In Web audio, I had to create this website that included a photo gallery in media presentation. At the end of this unit I had to present on my profile person in my experience during this project.
I really enjoyed doing the senior profile project and thought that all the different projects they did in English, web audio, design were very fun and interesting. I also feel that this project forced me outside my comfort zone and made me really have to think about how to show Chris’s personality and not mine. I think that I this project has made me a better graphic designer, a better writer, and a better audio maker.
Chris Trapani started a successful real estate company in Los Gatos called Sereno Group, which has spread to other cities, such as Los Altos, Santa Cruz, Saratoga, and Palo Alto. He took a chance by creating his business, a chance that he didn’t have to take. Chris was already a one of the more successful agents in Santa Clara County, and from a well respected family living in Saratoga. Sereno Group’s goal is not only to make a profit, but more importantly help the community around it. Chris tries to steer around the traditional corporate way of running a business and instead bases his business on the value of having a soul. In a field of business that is secluded and more about the individual, Chris Trapani tries to make his company a culture by bringing people together. Chris is also an excellent example of someone who knows how to balance between work, family, and staying true to his values. Whether it’s his business, family, or faith, Chris strives to be successful by teaching people how to accomplish the same balance in their lives.
In design I had to create a magazine using the pictures I took for design in my analytical paper that I written in English. The magazine had to be about four to five pages long and had to have design elements that represented our profile person. The person I profiled, Chris Trapani, is pretty calm and laid back for someone who has to wear suits everyday. Because of this I chose the accent color my magazine to be a blue. I also chose black-and-white to be my main colors because Chris is very powerful and has a very powerful impact on the community.
