 Introduction

Welcome to my film page! Here, you will see film projects. There are many film related activities that I have done in film class. I have learned techniques from writing films to the production of dialogue scenes. The class is taught by the wonderful Mr. T who may or may not love raccoons too much.

Dialogue Scene

This is the dialogue scene.

Acting Scene

This is the acting scene. During the acting scene we were required to find a script of a movie and use acting skills we learned in class to shape the scene in different ways. My partner was Aiya and we used Gravity.

Light Scavenger Hunt

This is the light scavenger hunt scene. We played around with lighting such as three point lighting, we used different types of light bulbs such as tungsten bulbs.

Narrative

Since I am a first year film student, despite being a senior, I did the Junior project. This is because I have not yet practiced basic filmmaking techniques. We were required to make a pitch, a script, storyboard.

Our narrative is about a girl named Renae(which also means frog in latin), who goes outside, sees a cute boy, gets nervous, and finally asks him out. So it’s like Princess and the Frog, but flipped.

JUST KIDDING.

Pitch/Logline

This is our logline

Sticking to something when you aren’t very good at it can prove to be difficult, especially for Ranae.

Reflection

I will say that I have learned a lot from the process of filming a “dialogue-less” story. I have learned how to better myself as a film partner. I have learned essential communication skills and film skills. I used Adobe Premier for the editing and the color grading. Here is a production shot of our piece:

We learned how to mix music into our films and various sound effects. I really valued the very active aspect of filmmaking. It literally kept us on our toes. We were moving from one location to another. One house to another and it was really fun!
