Intention Statement
The purpose of this poem was to convey the message of my concept statement in a more traditional poetic way. I used a lot of the same techniques as I did in the haiku, for example I used the word blizzard as a seasonal word for both poems. Both poems are also very metaphorical fairly abstract. This one is just laid out in a different way. It’s written from the point of view of someone who is trying to talk him/herself into confronting their obstacle but ultimately gives up on their goal.
