For Design, we had to select a model to bring one of our characters to life and take 60 photos of them with varying expressions, poses, and light exposure with the three point lighting.
Joshiela Mercedes is fourteen. She’s reading a printed out driver’s manual because she’s eager to learn how to drive. She has the map spread spread out to plan where she’ll drive so that her dad won’t need to drive all the time. There’s CD’s spread out to emphasize a long road trip coming up.
This assignment was challenging for me. I had never moved a camera on a tripod, used three point lighting, or set up a photoshoot. I do not like to tell people what to do either. It took a little bit over an hour to set up, take photos, clean up, and upload.
