After a shower, I was walking down the film room and took this picture because I appreicated how the light shown down.
Rule of Odds
The trio of heat lamps create unity and harmony.
Seasons
I saw this leaf leaving a grocery store. I was captivated by its beauty and the way the light hit the leaf and illuminated its texture and the drops of rain so I went back to take a photo.
Gratitude
This photo was taken at Natural Bridges. The trip was reminiscent of a butterfly and beach field trip from my childhood.
Rule of Thirds Emotion
The Rule of Thirds draws the viewer’s attention to the eyes. And like they say how the eyes are the window to the soul, this composition technique draws our eye to where all the emotion is in focus.
Color Without Color
A photo of my friends taking photos. I can’t even remember what was being said here.
Who Inspires Me
A portrait of Sophia. Shot in the moment. It’s a ~candid~ Per usual, she’s holding a film and digital camera at the same time.
Lighting
Lines and shapes are used in this photo to draw the eye of the viewer to the tree trunk. The branches create leading lines towards the trunk.
Friends & Family
Chi pao are traditional Chinese dresses worn on special holidays. Growing up, I had so many different chi pao, yet I hated them. Looking back, I wish I liked wearing them. They’re so beautiful and soft, and remind me of the days when my Grandma was here.
My Habits
This could be a bad habit in the future, but for now it’s just something to keep me busy when I grind through college apps. I guess it gets bad when I get splinters in my mouth from the shells.
