Hey everyone, welcome to my documentary site! In this unit, we used Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Reason, and ProTools to create our various projects. In english, we chose a documentary topic and wrote a research paper. In design, we took our research paper and used InDesign to create a book, using a variety of photos we took of our particular topic. In WebAudio, we took our topic and created an audio slideshow using the photos we took throughout the unit.
For my particular topic this unit, I chose to study my mother and her mixed deaf and hearing curling team in order to find out how deaf and hearing people communicate and play alongside eachother. I interviewed my mother and two of her teammates, and did research on deaf culture, to find the answer to my central question. In Design class, I took many photos of my mother and her team during practices and used them, along with my research paper, to create a picture book. In WebAudio, I took my photos, and created an audio slide show. You can find all of these projects using the above links.
I would like to dedicate the projects I've created within this unit to my deaf parents, who are living proofthat no matter what life hands you, you should always perservere.
