Podcaster Bio:
My name is Louie Sabio and I attend Mountain View High School and Freestyle Academy. In my free time, I enjoy making digital music and have produced for multiple local artists. I am continuing my hobby in music and hope to pursue a career at NYU Steinhardt.
Introduction:
Doing this project was important because it allowed us to express ourselves in unique ways we haven’t been able to do with previous projects. Podcasts are accessible communication mediums that have the ability to become immersive storytelling/informational experiences. By participating in this project we were given the opportunity to produce something truly unique to us. My inspiration for this project was the Joe Rogan Experience mainly due to its free form style.
Production Process:
Reflection:
By doing this project, I valued having the platform to speak about a topic that I was interested in. I also valued encountering new challenges such as formulating the topic, creating the structure for my podcast, and giving it the character that I felt most matched mine. After doing this project I can say I have become much more confident with incorporating my character into communication mediums and have just become more comfortable with my own voice in general. For first-time podcasters I’d probably advise them to dive head first into any ideas they might have regardless if they think it’s not the most interesting, because ultimately their personality and effort will make the podcast.
