Introduction

This endeavor demonstrated how far I can push myself to create fantastic things. Every one of my classes has taught me new ways to push myself. In digital media, it was learning how to create a major project on a computer using a variety of unfamiliar tools. It’s incredibly inspiring to see myself create so many fantastic items in only a few months with no prior expertise. These initiatives have demonstrated to me how much effort pays off.

This unit has been a fantastic learning opportunity. My English class has been such a huge improvement over my other classes; I’ve always struggled with English, writing, and reading, but this class has taught me that English isn’t just about how well you write or how quickly you read; it’s also about how far you can push your imagination to create a final piece. It has completely transformed my perspective on writing and the many forms of writing. Design is why I joined freestyle; it’s an art form I’ve admired for a long time, but I never knew it could be as great as it is. It has entirely altered my perception of art. It demonstrates that you can learn something new about design every day, which is something I greatly respect. We’ve been working on a variety of projects in this class, and one that has sparked my imagination is the hybrid creature we’re making out of five different animals. We’re using illustrator to create this creature, and we’ve learned a lot about it. It’s also taught me that there’s still a lot to learn about Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Pro Tools, and other programs. Overall, this course has demonstrated how far I can push my creativity to create new things.

Haiku

A haiku is seventeen-syllable Japanese poetry with three lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking images of nature. This was a project on which we collaborated in both English and digital media. We learned about renowned Haiku writers in English and tried to comprehend how they wrote in different styles. We all started writing our own Haiku as we realized what was going on. We worked through a lot of versions and received a lot of feedback and suggestions on our work. This was quite beneficial in making our haiku the best it could be. We learned about photoshop and how to capture good images with our cameras and edit them in photoshop in Digital Media, and then we learned how to use Premiere Pro to add text and audio to our Haiku to make them more presentable, to make this in the end.

This image shows my progress on Premiere Pro with both the audio and visual for my haiku video.

This project was a learning experience, I faced a lot of issues and I did not understand how to use a lot of the tools but as I continued and understood and asked questions I started to understand a lot more about Premiere tools. Once I caught on I felt a lot more comfortable to start exploring more and more about what I can do.

Poetry

This project really worked my creative side. In English, we worked on the poem and how to improve it every day. Find different ways of writing about a topic you are passionate about. expressing yourself in a couple of lines. My poem was based on what women have to endure in this world and that was a very interesting way of showing people how I feel about this topic. In Digital Media, we put all of I together. Recoding ourselves reading our poem and adding sound effects and editing our voices in Pro Tools. We also learned a little bit about Dreamweaver and how to add the audio to the poem and put it on our website.

Creating Of Life

This project was truly eye-opening. It showed me how I can express myself through a poem. This was a subject I am very passionate about and really showed me that I can write something that I am passionate about just by being passionate about it.

behind the scene of how the audio was made.

We used Pro Tools to add sound effects and the recording of ourselves reading our poems. I looked up some sounds that I thought went well with the poem and music to make the poem more smooth and more enjoyable to listen to. This taught me a lot about how to add the right sounds to recodings and projects.

Photoshop Blend Mode Editing

Photoshop blending modes was a great way of teaching us how to take photos and editing based on different way to make them look different ways. Editing the lighting, the colors that are in the photo. Editing out people, and adding different objects and people to make the picture look different. This was an amazing way to learn the basics about photoshop and how to use it in personal projects. this gave us the chance to learn and explore more ways to edit photos I will be taking.

DESIGN

Design class has been an amazing addition to my life, it has taught me so much and it was the best class I’ve had in a long time. In the past couple of months, I have worked on multiple different projects, like learning about how to make a blueprint of my room, making hands-on projects based on the season which was Halloween, editing photos that we took based on a topic, and the last project is a project we have been working on for a long time and that is creating a creature based on five different animals and mashing them together to make one animal. This is a class I am very passionate about and I would love to learn more every day.
