In class, we were told to write a story about something we have learned/experienced. I wrote about an insecure woman and how she lets her self-conciousness get the better of her. As a result, she is afraid to try new things.

I drew the bird to represent my character because birds are free to fly anywhere they want. My character would be free to fly anywhere she wanted, but she lets her fears hold her back. I drew the spiderweb to represent her insecurities. I used the phrase "Treat opportunities as though they were risks" to represent my character's unwillingness to take chances because she believes that her efforts won't be fruitful.
