Our task at hand was to then create an image reflecting this statement. My image was meant to &#8220;explore the feeling of gratitude through the experience of managing responsibilities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In English, we wrote different kinds of poetry.<\/p>\n<p>Spoken Word:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notes-by Melissa Pinkner<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poppy seed with cream cheese<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t assume I\u2019ve learned<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I only sit around campfires<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To live many lives<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Merchant of silk and all<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Things<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lovely<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t make me work for it<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well now I\u2019ve called attention<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether I wanted to or not<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The world\u2019s just not as safe<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the 5 unmissable<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Female directed documentaries<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laundromat on Dana street<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My brother never did his own wash<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But he\u2019s more put together anyways<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t just deny <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Think<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes I need <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hair bands<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earrings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A comb<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My caf\u00e9 with a view<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">macchiato<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Looking back, I relive the emotions I felt while writing this poem whenever I read it. However, I think I could have done a better job to make it less of a jumble. I understand it because it is a personal piece, however without the message being clear, I understand it would be difficult for others to relate as well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After our school visit to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, we were also asked to complete an Ekphrastic Poem, based on one of the exhibits.
