We were told to create an image to represent a point that was represented in our Animation. The hardest part was trying to get it to relate to my Animation, since I didn't want to just copy part of my animation and turn it into a picture. I made my illustration in the attempt to make it a symbiotic poster for my animation, althought that didn't work out too well. Although it does have its flaws, I believe it shows its purpose and reason well enough.
Heaven's Own Hell
Everyone hopes there is a place better out there, where everything is perfect, even if it has yet to be found or proved that such a place exists. If you go traveling to a foreign place, do you believe that everything is going to be perfect? Of course not, you expect that there may be a few problems, otherwise why wouldn't everyone be in that place. Not everything can be perfect, and not everything can turn out as planned. Even heaven, a place known by some to be the perfect place to rest a weary soul, can have its faults.
The golden staircase and path represent people's hope. They continue to follow it and there is nowhere to get off. Pillars stand along side the paths, representing different feelings of human thought that goes along with the path. The further you go, the further along the path you travel, passing more pillars and having more thoughts and feelings running into your head. The once single path splits into two separate ones, heading opposite directions at a pillar labeled truth. One leads towards more hope and glory, while the other path leads towards depression and sorrow. One path is happy, the other is sad. But along the happy path there is still sad pillars, just as how the sad path still has happy pillars. There is no absolute happiness, and no absolute sadness, but people will always follow their hopes in order to proceed.
